Rawan Atari-Khan, PhD, LP is a licensed psychologist and Assistant Professor at Marquette University whose research explores mental health, resilience, and well-being among Arab and Middle Eastern/North African (MENA) communities. Her work integrates social justice, cultural humility, and community-engaged approaches to advance equitable and culturally responsive mental health care.
Joelle Taos Taknint, PhD is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison whose research focuses on advancing mental health equity for migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking communities. She previously served as Director of Behavioral Health at Boston Medical Center’s Immigrant and Refugee Health Center. Her work integrates culturally responsive, anti-oppressive, and community-engaged approaches to address systemic barriers to mental health care and develop equitable, accessible interventions for immigrant and refugee populations.
